If you are looking for a meaningful way to get involved in the Mountaintop
community, consider becoming a volunteer at the Marian Sutherland Kirby
Library. The library is seeking qualified individuals who can spare a few
hours a week helping out as Desk Attendants.
A regular shift consists of 3 to 5 hours a week in the morning, afternoon,
or evening. Duties include checking materials in and out using the
automated computer system, reshelving materials, answering the telephone,
issuing library cards and assisting patrons. Basic computer knowledge is
necessary to operate the automated circulation system.
The library offers a friendly, pleasant atmosphere and is an excellent way
to meet new people. Our volunteer team is made up of men, women and teens.
Volunteer applications for adults and teens (ages 13-17) may be picked up at
the circulation desk or may be printed from the Marian Sutherland Kirby
