LIBRARY ASSISTANT POSITION AVAILABLE

The Marian Sutherland Kirby library in Mountain Top seeks a part time library assistant.

This position requires a degree in library or related fields, experience in working with children, conducting programs, and functioning in all phases of library service. To provide this service some evening and Saturday hours are required.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

If you are looking for a meaningful way to get involved in the Mountaintop community, consider becoming a volunteer at the Marian Sutherland Kirby Library, located at 35 Kirby Ave., Mountaintop.

The M.S. Kirby Library is currently accepting applications for permanent volunteers to fill several available shifts in the morning and afternoon. The library is seeking qualified individuals who can spare a few hours a week helping out as Desk Attendants. The library offers a friendly, pleasant atmosphere and is an excellent way to meet new people.

A regular shift consists of 3 to 5 hours a week. Duties include checking materials in and out using the automated computer system, reshelving materials, answering the telephone, issuing library cards and assisting patrons. Basic computer knowledge is necessary to operate the automated circulation system.
