Interlibrary Loan is available through the Luzerne County Library System and through the ACCESS PA Statewide System. You may view the entire collection of material within the 10 Luzerne County system libraries through LUCAS, the Luzerne County Access System online catalog.

Interlibrary loan allows you to borrow from any system library member, providing the Marian Sutherland Kirby does not already own the material requested.

Not all libraries loan out all types of materials through Interlibrary Loan. In addition to Reference material, some libraries prefer not to loan new books and other materials such as DVDs, videos, CD books and audio books.

Luzerne County Library System Loan:

• You must have a valid Luzerne County Library System Library card.
• Fill out the Reserve Materials Form as completely as possible and submit to the circulation desk at the Marian Sutherland Kirby Library.
• Materials borrowed within the Luzerne County Library system may be returned to any member library listed on the front of your library card.
• Renew materials before the due date online, by phone, or by visiting the library.

The ACCESS PA database allows you to search for material from participating libraries within the entire state of Pennsylvania. This service allows you to borrow through the state providing the material is not available through the Luzerne County Library System

Access PA Loans:

• You must have a valid Luzerne County Library System Library card.
• Fill out the Reserve Materials Form as completely as possible.

If using a computer print out, include your name, phone number, and LCLS library barcode number, which is located on the reverse side of the yellow card. Submit request to the circulation desk at the Marian Sutherland Kirby Library.

• Renew materials before the due date by calling 570-474-9313, or by visiting the library. Certain circumstances may prevent materials from being eligible for renewal.
• Return all material borrowed through Access PA to the Marian Sutherland Kirby Library.
