The Marian Sutherland Kirby Library gratefully accepts books and other items that meet the following criteria:

* Must be in new, nearly new or excellent condition. Books and other items that are in poor condition are not accepted.
* Books must be no older than 10 years (certain exceptions may apply)
* Must be free of dirt, stains, dust, pet hair and odors.
* Audios, videos, etc., must be in excellent condition in the original boxes. Videos that are demonstration samples are not accepted.

The library does not accept the following:
ENCYCLOPEDIAS, TEXT BOOKS, INSTRUCTIONAL MANUALS, PAMPHLETS, MAGAZINES, READER'S DIGEST CONDENSED NOVELS, DICTIONARIES & REFERENCE MATERIALS, ETC

Arrangements to inspect donated items must be made with a staff member, please call to set up an appointment.

Items may not be left outside the library or on sale table without permission.

The library reserves the right to refuse any unwanted items. It is difficult and expensive for the library to dispose of unusable items.

Items that are not added to the library's collection
are placed for sale.
Receipts are available upon request. Thank you!
