The Books For Babies Program was started by the Friends to celebrate the birth of a new baby, to encourage parents to provide early reading experiences and to introduce them to the library and its services.

Parents of babies who are 1 year old or younger, who live in Luzerne County may be registered to receive a new book for the baby and a packet of information about early literacy and the library! A member of the Friends will contact the parents to arrange to meet with them at the library, present them with a packet, take a picture and introduce them to the library.
